This project explored digital painting on the indigenous hairstyles of the Yorubá women in south-western Nigeria. This was with the view to documenting the trend in the selected hairstyles. This was also help to appreciate the in this era where Yorubá cultural value seems to have been lost to civilization.
This project revealed that the Yorubá indigenous hairstyles vary based on their importance and usefulness. These hairstyles identified and classified based on period of existence. Findings showed that the hairstyles are gradually taking new form day by day as western influence have been included to the styling of these hairstyles.
